Contrazz is a high–energy ensemble known for its unique and contemporary arrangements of traditional tunes. The band's debut CD Dance! Dance! Dance! combines a repertoire of traditional Celtic, Quebecois, American old time music and original compositions with the improvisational style, swing and solos of a jazz band. Based in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, the band plays for New England–style contra dances across the United States. |
